Mercurian Studios isn't a building with a standing payroll. It's a production outfit that assembles the right crew for the job and then runs that crew against a plan — which, for most of the work I take, is exactly the right shape.

What's constant is the discipline: a single build plan, a schedule with margin in it, a budget that's tracked rather than hoped at, and a debrief at the end so the next one costs less. What changes is everyone else, and that's a feature. A comedy web short and a chamber-music capture in Florida do not want the same crew.
